Countries such as Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan continue to see longstanding traditions that encourage child marriage.
The mental and physical strain upon young brides is highly traumatic, including a high rate of death during childbirth. It is RESOLVE’s goal to assist girls and young women from such damaging situations in an effort to assist their emotional and physical development.
It is also imperative that communities begin to abandon antiquated and dangerous traditions and adopt modernity as a form of preserving the lives of their youngest members.
